5 American journalists, 2 Italian regions, 48 hours tour, 400 km traveled

Radio Show hosts, bloggers, writers. Five American journalists experts in food, wine, spirit, travel, lifestyle, traveling in Marche region and in our winery for a press tour organized by our importer in USA. Here is the report.

The journey starts in Abruzzo, where the scent of the lemon plant has inspired the wines of this region and where Tendone  here remains the king of training systems, allowing to Montepulciano grapes to grow at their best. A walk through the vineyards with fruit trees, olives, wheat. Everything is rural and sustainable, like our vineyard cultivated and treated with organic approach. Tour continues with a gourmet stop at Villa Sant’Angelo, where our Vellodoro and Centovie Pecorino and Jorio and Centovie Montepulciano have been paired with traditional food.

From Abruzzo we drive back to Marche where journey continues towards Loreto and then dinner at the Wine Not? restaurant of Ancona.

Second day starts with Verdicchio tour through Casal di Serra and Vecchie Vigne vineyards. A stop to Villa Bianchi, the Bianchi-Bernetti family's farmhouse and a tour of Montecarotto, one of the most famous villages within Castelli di Jesi area. We visited the little theater inaugurated in 1877 and the recently restored clock tower. The view from the top of the tower is breathtaking: a colorful mosaic of fields, the Adriatic sea in the horizon, the houses’ roofs, bell towers all around, the nearby convent. A memorable postcard.

Lunch time at Hostaria Dietro le Quinte of Jesi, then a ride through the Conero vineyards and wine tasting in our Bottaia, including old vintages. We finished our intense day in the heart of Conero mountain, down in Portonovo bay, where we enjoyed a wonderful sunset and dinner at Emilia restaurant.
