The International Wine Challenge (IWC) is accepted as the world's finest and most meticulously judged wine competition which assesses every wine blind and judges each for its faithfulness to style, region and vintage. Throughout the rigorous judging processes, each medal-winning wine is tasted on three separate occasions by at least 10 different judges and awards include medals (Trophy, Gold, Silver, Bronze) and Commended and Great Value awards.
This year IWC awarded our Fonte del Re 2015 with the Trophy (the highest recognition of the competition) and with the Gold Medal.
An important recognition to this wine made 100% by Lacrima, an indigenous grape found only in Le Marche between the Adriatic Coast and the Morro d’Alba village.
This Trophy confirms also the growing interest in Italian small appellations by the international audience.
Thanks to this award we’ll be able to promote this typical Marche grape all around the world.Return to the list
