After having followed the climatic tendency of the last months, observed the vineyards and tasted some bunch to verify sugar quantity and acidity level, we are able to say that it’s harvest time again.
We started with Verdicchio for the Extra Brut basis and we are currently working along the Monteschiavo (Maiolati Spontini) vineyards.
In here from early morning we collect bunches by hands placing the grapes in small trucks that reach our Castelbellino winery, where the vinification starts.
It’s not a big path but is better to be fast and not wait too long in order to preserve the grapes original essence.
It’s with our Vineyards Manager Luigi Piersanti that we decided to start our harvest 2016 in the Verdicchio heart.
