Results of the 15th edition of Sélections Mondiales des vins Canada have now been released. Held at Royal Palace Hotel in Quebec City from May 30th to June 5th 2008, this is one of the most prestigious international wine contest in North America. 
Only 9 among the 175 Médailles d'Or have been granted to Italian wines, and Umani Ronchi has reached an important primacy by being the only Italian winery winning two of them, with Pelago 2005 and San Lorenzo 2005.
Cumaro 2005 also gained a place of honour, being awarded with a Médaille d'Argent.
