Montepulciano 80%, Pecorino 10%, Trebbiano 10%
For proof, go 100 kilometres south to Abruzzo, where energy from the sun is more abundant and the soil is more fertile. Only 100 kilometres away but everything has changed. Elegance gives way to power. The grape is montepulciano d’Abruzzo, grown at Roseto degli Abruzzi in rows trained to pergola, the most traditional vine training system. Few other territories in Italy can deliver good yields with such excellent quality and a vintage-to-vintage consistency that never ceases to amaze.
The Montipagano estate embraces 27 hectares that have been farmed organically since they were first planted. The location on the slopes of a south-facing hillslope near Roseto degli Abruzzi is close to the picturesque village of Montipagano with views onto the Gran Sasso d'Italia massif.Vineyards details
