Montepagano, is the name of the ancient village, which is still there, overlooking our estate. It was where the mayor of the village was living, before the village called “Roseto degli Abruzzi” developed nearby and that eventually become the new “capital” of the area. 

We have planned to invest in the Abruzzi area long ago, having noticed that Montepulciano of astonishing quality was quite a standard there: great finesse and elegance added to the usual great texture of the Montepulciano grapes when produced on that terroir.
In Roseto degli Abruzzi, the place where Montipagano estate is located, vineyards have always provided perfectly ripen grapes supplying a right combination between Marches elegance and Abruzzo strength character.
The right estate to buy was finally found in 2001; it was an old quarry sand with a perfect soil, surrounded by a vineyard already in existence. At the moment our total property counts for about 30 hectares, half of which have been planted under cordone speronato training system, the remaining part is grown through canopy system, the traditional one used in the area.

It is our very close belief and philosophy to work continuously in order to develop the potential of one of the most typical and important Italian grape varietal.

The wines we are making in Montipagano are a result of a work done in order to provide good and important concentration, being at the same time very focused on its elegance.
