In the month when Wine Spectator announces, directly from New York (Vinitaly.USA), the 150 top Italian wineries selected for OperaWine 2027, Umani Ronchi is once again confirmed among the “Legacy Icons”—the wineries that have helped shape the history of Italian wine around the world and have been part of this prestigious event since its very first edition.
OperaWine will take place on April 10, 2027, in Verona. In the meantime, we are pleased to share the ratings recently published for our wines by this prestigious American publication, a leading reference for the U.S. wine market and consumers.

Conero Campo San Giorgio Riserva 2020 — 92 punti

An elegant red, with supple, creamy-edge tannins defining flavors of pureed black cherry and crème de cassis. Aromatic dried lavender and sage, mineral and paprika accents linger on the lively, lightly chewy finish. Drink now through 2035.

Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva Plenio 2023 — 92 punti

A stylish white, animated by both a tang of underlying salinity and a frame of snappy acidity, this offers an engaging range of kiwifruit, golden apple and grilled macadamia nut flavors, plus accents of chamomile, vanilla and warm spices. Mouthwatering through the floral finish. Drink now through 2033.

Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Historical 2020 — 92 punti

A svelte, harmonious white, with a finely meshed range of ripe pear, white cherry fruit, salted Marcona almond and lemon wax notes, all married to lightly mouthwatering acidity and a subtle, minerally skein of spices and stone. Floral finish. Drink now through 2035.

Conero Cúmaro Riserva 2021 — 91 punti

Sleek and harmonious, this is light on its feet while offering a generous range of fleshy, juicy black cherry, plum and black raspberry fruit underscored by a hint of fresh, loamy earth. Light, fine-grained tannins shape the finish, which shows fragrant accents of cocoa powder, violet, anise and bay leaf. Drink now through 2036.

Marche Pelago 2021 — 91 punti

An elegant red, with fine, taut tannins supporting a finely woven range of ripe black currant and black cherry fruit, plus flavors of olive tapenade, mocha, smoke and sweet paprika. Shows a lithe yet sculpted structure on a medium-bodied frame — a fine balancing act. Lingering finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Montepulciano and Merlot. Drink now through 2036.

Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Vecchie Vigne 2023 — 90 punti

Sleek and structured, with refreshing acidity firming notes of crunchy pear, green almond, Meyer lemon peel, tarragon and crushed gravel. Finely meshed, with delicate spice and petrol details lingering on the finish. Drink now through 2031.
