“Corporate Heritage. A Made in Italy Story”: Umani Ronchi featured in the book dedicated to the Heritage Awards

Umani Ronchi’s story features in the book Corporate Heritage. A Made in Italy Story, edited by Daniele Pozzi. The book, which brings together academic research, the business community and Italian institutions, presents a selection of projects recognised at the Corporate Heritage Awards. It shows how companies of different sizes and operating in different sectors have transformed their history into a competitive advantage.

The book offers a perspective on corporate heritage as both a strategic and a cultural choice. Heritage is understood as a collection of values, skills, experiences, products, symbols and traditions built up over time, helping to define a company’s identity. This heritage acquires meaning when it is interpreted and connected with the present, becoming a resource capable of driving innovation, strengthening reputation and building lasting relationships.

“It is not simply a memory of the past, but a bridge between the past, present and future. It is the ability to turn history into a guide for action, bringing the past to life and making it relevant to the present, rather than allowing it to become merely a celebration or an exercise in nostalgia.” (Valerio Villoresi)

It is within this perspective that Umani Ronchi’s journey takes shape. The company has chosen to celebrate its history by focusing on the intangible aspects of its corporate heritage: its deep roots in the local area, family history, winemaking tradition and oenological expertise. This vision recognises the connection between product, place and time as the thread that runs through its identity. “History is not presented as an immovable legacy, but as a body of knowledge, relationships and expertise that continues to evolve while remaining firmly rooted in its origins.”

Our inclusion in the book provides an opportunity to share our vision of corporate identity, in which heritage becomes a strategic resource: a means of celebrating authenticity, standing out in a competitive market and creating new opportunities for the future, building on our own history.

The book, edited by Daniele Pozzi, with a foreword by Valerio Villoresi, an afterword by Federico Visconti and essays by Ilenia Bua, Dalila Coppola and Cristiano Mantello, will be presented in Milan on 23 November.

We wish you an enjoyable read and an inspiring journey through the stories of Italian businesses, including our own!
