Travelling with Umani Ronchi: 5 expert journalists in travel, food and wine, united in a single story

Three days, five authoritative voices from the world of food, wine&travel journalism, and one shared story: that of the most authentic side of Le Marche, experienced through the many places that define our hospitality.

“Travelling with Umani Ronchi” was more than just a press tour. It was a narrative journey through landscapes, flavours, and stories, centred on the human and cultural experience of our region. Together with Lonely Planet and under the brilliant guidance of Luca Iaccarino, we explored our hospitality destinations (Hotel Monteconero, Villa Bianchi, Grand Hotel Palace), transforming them into key stages of a collective tale – one shaped by emotions, moments of sharing, and open conversation, all aimed at giving voice to our wine tourism and experiential offering.

From the Osimo Winery where the journey began, to the Verdicchio hills, the Conero and Ancona, each stop became a piece of the mosaic that reflects our unique approach to hospitality.

The programme blended vineyard safaris, nature and cultural trails, tastings and storytelling dinners, moments of exchange and relaxation – but also offered space for reflection on key themes such as accessible tourism and how wine is narrated in today’s world. These experiences came together in a round table on 4th July during the public panel at Wine Not? Grand Hotel Palace, where our guest journalists shared their perspectives and helped convey the essence of the journey just completed. A thoughtful and authoritative narrative – because it's often through the eyes of outsiders that we discover how authentically our places speak, and how much our region has to offer. As they say, “Le Marche don’t impose themselves on you – you have to go and find them…”

Here are some images from the journey... and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who experienced it with us!
