Italian wine in Bordeaux with the “Istituto Grandi Marchi”

On February 20th Umani Ronchi - with the "Istituto Grandi Marchi" - took part at  the lesson dedicated to Italian wine as part of the MBA course of the Inseec Wine Institute in Bordeaux.

The focus of the masterclass was the "Premiumisation" of Italian wines which are able to offer an singular and exclusive experience to the wine lover through their uniqueness and the wide variety of indigenous grapes. We chose the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo that represents surely one of most popular appelations worldwide. It was a great opportunity to present the organic Montepulciano Centovie 2015, our selection from the Roseto degli Abruzzi estate which - together with the Pecorino and Rosato - completes the "Centovie family", a limited-edition organic production.

60 students from all over the world were involved in the lesson on Italian vine-growing regions and the tasting led by Raffaele Augelli of 19 wines from Grandi Marchi Wineries.
