Plenio 2022 and the wines of WineNews: history and tasting notes

Our Plenio 2022 is featured in the August edition of Wine News, with snippets of history and tasting notes. Discover it!

"First released in 1995, the Verdicchio Classico Plenio Riserva represents one of the most important labels within the varied portfolio of the Osimo-based winery. It is a wine that consistently confirms the white-wine vocation of the Bernetti family estate, now a solid point of reference for the most discerning enthusiasts.
From a vineyard planted in the early 1990s, it undergoes fermentation partly in steel and partly in large wooden casks, with only partial malolactic fermentation, and matures for 12 months in the same vessels in which it was fermented.
The 2022 vintage shows an intense straw-yellow colour and opens with aromas of citrus fruits, gardenia blossom, ripe peach and medicinal herbs, rounded off by iodine nuances. On the palate, it is broad, full and satisfying, finishing with a pleasantly balsamic aftertaste."
