The 2023 guides: the scores and the reviews of national and international critics

From the Verdicchio, the Conero and the Abruzzo territories, find out how our wines rated and continue to follow updates and developments this season.

Let's start from Verdicchio with Plenio Riserva 2020 which "ticks it again" and wins the "Tre Bicchieri" by Gambero Rosso: citrusy verve and thin smoky notes give complexity and charm to a straight, very savoury, extraordinarily drinkable palate. Slow Wine – the Slow Food guide- awards the Plenio with the title of "Top Wine".

Not far from the Plenio we find the Vecchie Vigne 2020 which receives the "Crown" of Vini Buoni d'Italia and the "Seal of Doctor Wine" with 95 points. Falstaff Trophy and James Suckling review this wine, respectively, with the scores of 94 and 93 points.

Casal di Serra 2021 is positioned between the two cult wines, having received the "Gold Medal" of WOW ! - the wine competition of Civiltà del Bere, 91 points by James Suckling and the "Best Quality/Price" ratio Award by Gambero Rosso in their Berebene guide (a selection of the finest Italian wines under €15).

We move to the Conero side to tell you about Campo San Giorgio 2018, ranked among "the best 100 Italian red wines" by L'Espresso guide and awarded with the "Cinque Grappoli" and the “Quattro Viti”, the highest recognitions respectively given by the Bibenda Guide and the AIS Italian Sommeliers’one. The "Gold Medal" comes from WOW! of Civiltà del Bere, while "The WineHunter Award Platinum" is the highest  recognition granted by the Merano Wine Festival. On the international front, the wine receives 94 points from Falstaff and 93 from James Suckling, demonstrating a high and transversal consensus.

The latter international critic also positively comments on Cùmaro, Pelago, San Lorenzo, ranging up to the wines of Abruzzo with Tenuta Centovie in the lead.  Centovie Montepulciano and Rosato are also acclaimed by Vinous and Falstaff and, always remaining in Abruzzo, another "Gold Medal" from WOW! is assigned to Montepulciano Centovie.

Our Metodo Classico range is awarded too: the coveted "Corona" of Vini Buoni d'Italia goes in this edition to LH2 and La Hoz Metodo Classico Nature.
