“The taste for art, the pleasure of the senses”. Guided tours between art and wine

After the success of the first meeting dedicated to ‘The Oath of The Anconetani’ by Podesti and to the sense of hearing, listening to some excerpts from Rossini's Guglielmo Tell, the appointments of the festival "The taste for art, the pleasure of the senses”, promoted by our winery in collaboration with the Art Gallery of Ancona, continue.

The protagonist of the event on 21 June is the painting of Santa Palazia (around 1658) by Giovan Francesco Barbieri, known as il Guercino, which for the occasion is associated with the sense of smell. A sensory journey in which visitors are transported to atmospheres of the past, thanks to the evocation of perfumes and essences hidden in the work. The explanation of the painting, subject to profound revaluation by contemporary critics, is entrusted to Stefano Zuffi, art historian and curator of the Pinacoteca.

The third and final appointment of the festival will be held on Thursday 6 July at 18:30. It will focus on Carlo Crivelli's masterpiece "Madonna with Child" and it will be linked to the sense of Taste. At the end of the itinerary, the tasting and sensory analysis of a Umani Ronchi wine will take place.

The initiative is part of a larger project launched with the Pinacoteca, with the aim of enhancing the culture and identity of the territory through art and a wine production that bears witness to the values and essence of this region. “Paesaggi d'artista e Vini d'autore” is our first temporary exhibition that combines oenological research, the care of sustainable viticulture, a passion for the environment and contemporaneity. It will also be possible to visit it within the individual events.

A symphony of notes, colours and signature tastes.
