Our idea of Street Food: Centovie Montepulciano and “Arrosticini”.
In this period, between Dark kitchen and food delivery, "made in Italy" street food dominates the scene and particularly our territory with its typical cuisine.
We have chosen a foodstuff which has a strong connection with Abruzzo traditions to present a pairing that we like to imagine for a barbeques on the terrace and open-air family picnic.
We propose to try the "arrosticini", that are sheep skewers with a centuries-old history and are linked to pastoralism, but for the last few years they have gained popularity beyond regional and national borders, going around in the international street food scene.
An easy-going cooking to match with our organic wine Centovie Montepulciano d'Abruzzo that is produced on the estate in Roseto degli Abruzzi from organically-grown vineyards.
A wine capable to shows the power and personality of Montepulciano - a native grape of the Adriatic coast - in a graceful, charming way. It has an intense ruby colour, with purple hues, while the nose recalls black cherry, liquorice and spices. Complex and well-balanced wine on the palate, with ripe and firm tannins.
